Welcome to MV Scuba Adventure

MV Scuba AdventureJoin MV Scuba Adventure for live-aboard trips to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock, and the Surin Islands! You are in for the diving adventure of a lifetime with these exciting destinations and all they have to offer.

In an effort to provide the best service and diving on MV Scuba Adventure we have just completed a major renovation of the vessel. After listening to our guests' comments we now provide the following:

- A maximum of 12 divers in 2 double and 5 twin cabins. Double cabins on first booked, first served basis.

- Each cabin with it's own air-con unit.

- Four toilet/showers with hot water.

- Portholes in the lower cabins providing natural lighting.

- Nitrox blending onboard

Our 4 day/4 night trips depart from Patong Beach on Phuket. Departure is at 20.00 hrs with a short overnight cruise. Wake up in the morning, get out of bed, have a look around, and be greeted by the beauty of the Similan Islands. Then, jump into the water for your first dive, where you will be welcomed by the beauty of the underwater world!

Are 14 dives simply not enough? Do you want to see more of the Similan Islands? No problem - instead of going back to shore, we can drop you off the MV Scuba Cat at the Similan Islands and you just keep on diving…

Rebreather and Nitrox Diving

M/V Scuba Adventure has a Nitrox blending system onboard. Nitrox is now commonly accepted as a perfectly safe way to reduce the nitrogen saturation in your body tissues and gain less decompression times. If you are not yet a certified Nitrox Diver, our Diving Instructors are happy to train you. The Advanced Open Water Certification is a prerequisite, and the course itself takes one and a half days. After you have successfully completed this certification you are allowed to take the next and even bigger step:

The Draeger Dolphin Rebreather allows you to experience diving like never before. What is unique about rebreather systems is that your exhaled gas is not released into the water as in conventional open circuit systems, but is purified and returned to the breathing curcuit. As a result, you can enjoy your dive to the fullest - not only a longer dive, but also a completely undisturbed adventure.

While diving with the Dolphin Rebreather, you will notice how strangely quiet it is, far quieter than normal. No noisy valves, no hissing air, no annoying bubbles coming from your mouthpiece - nothing to disturb you or the aquatic life. Even the shyest inhabitants of the reef are no longer disturbed by your presence, giving you the fascinating feeling of being an accepted guest: a part of your environment rather than an intrusion.

Schedule for the Southern Islands

Day 1

We get underway for Hin Daeng/Muang in the south cruising about 6 hours over night.

Day 2 - 4 Dives
Good morning call for 7am and a continental breakfast. Dive #1,#2 and #3 give you plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wonders of Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. Famous for stunning purple soft corals and one of the best places for the chance to spot whale sharks. Mantas spend hours on the cleaning stations here as do divers! Couple this with a "fish soup" of rainbow runners, yellow tail and chevron barracuda, fusiliers and millions of reef fish and you have one awesome dive location! We head north to Koh Haa - a cluster of 5 scenic islands for a wonderful night dive alive with colour, decorator crabs, shrimps, spiny lobster, red whip corals plus more.

Day 3 - 4 Dives
Special treats today! Dive #1 at Koh Ha I for sea horse, great chimneys and swimthroughs. Dive #2 - "Twin Cathedrals" of Koh Ha - a safe but awesome open cavern dive with limestone stalactites. Outside this spot is nudibranch city - you can't fail to spot rare and interesting macro delights here. Then it's off to dive Koh Bida Nok and Koh Bida Nai at Phi Phi for 2 dives featuring leopard sharks, bamboo sharks, ornate ghost pipe fish, turtles … After diving, there is the chance to go on shore at Phi Phi to shop for souvenirs, have a few beers at one of the many trendy bars or simply enjoy a romantic stroll along the moonlit beach. All aboard by 11pm to cruise back to Patong Phuket.

Day 4
A hearty breakfast for all while the boat crew transfer your luggage ashore. Then we bid farewell to our guests transferring ashore by 9:00 hours. Those staying on to continue their Andaman Safari to the Similans have the day to relax on the beach, enjoy a massage, go for an elephant trek, or relax by our pool at Phawadee Resort and Spa till boarding time at 19:00 hours.
